Cinema Checkpoint

It turns out the Cinema Checkpoint isn't a cinema at all, but a second-hand shop. Perhaps the interesting name draws in curious shoppers? I know I'd like to go back and take a look. I was there on a Sunday when all the shops in Berlin are closed. For more murals, take a look at Monday Mural.

  1. What a colorful, conglomerate mess! I'd think, though, it would be worth stopping by to see what it's like inside.

  6. This is an unusual set of murals. Perhaps it draws in customers for the shop?

  7. INteresting way to draw customers -- the unusual name and the unusual murals both. I like the cheerful colors.

  12. Yes, that's quite a mmmm... colourful shop, you must check out the inside. When I saw 'Cinema Checkpoint' I thought it was a movie theatre near the old 'checkpoint charlie'...

  13. It was very nice and interesting to see that collapsible gate. It's not common in the US but it's very common in most countries in Asia. So, it was very nice to see it in Berlin as well. A very colorful picture.

  15. Everything about the scene reminds me of the Haight in San Francisco. I guess hippie style is not boxed in by time or place. :-)

  16. Yes, I'd certainly want to take a look too. I also agree with Su-sieee. It does look a little like San Francisco's Haight Ashbury.

  20. That name and all that colour on the outside sure makes one want to go check out this place.
I hope you get to go inside soon. I'm curious about what you'll find in there. I'm pretty sure it will have some great stuff.
